Why AI characters drift
A text prompt is a description, and every description is ambiguous. 'A woman with silver hair in a black turtleneck' matches millions of faces, so each generation samples a different one. Even within a single clip, models re-interpret the subject frame by frame, which is why faces soften during head turns and outfits gain or lose details.
Consistency needs something that is not text: pixels the model can attend to. Reference-based generation conditions every frame on the same photos, so the face, hair, proportions and clothing are anchored rather than re-imagined.

Create a character with strong references
Front, three-quarter and profile photos, evenly lit, same hairstyle and outfit if you want them locked. Add a description that names the invariant details.

Generate in Character mode
Attach the character; the router restricts itself to models with character reference and the Character preset weights identity over style.

Keep prompts invariant where it matters
Reuse the exact wording for outfit and features across prompts, or move those details into the character description so you never retype them.

Build scenes, not single frames
Use the Story preset for multi-shot clips with the same character across cuts, or generate scenes separately with the same seed for a matched look.

Review and re-reference
When a generation is especially faithful, add a frame from it to the character's references to tighten future results.

Multi-shot and story workflows
- Describe beats in order; Story-preset models cut between them within one clip.
- Keep each beat's character description identical; only the action and setting change.
- Aim for two to three beats in 8 to 10 seconds; more feels rushed.

Frequently asked
- How many reference photos should a character have?
- Three to six. Fewer than three leaves too much to interpretation; more than eight rarely helps. Cover several angles and keep the lighting even.
- Can I use the same character in someone else's video?
- Yes, through remix, if the creator allows remixing. Attach your character and describe the swap.
- Will the character look identical in every clip?
- Close, not pixel-identical. Reference-based generation keeps identity recognisable across scenes; extreme angles, very long clips and heavy stylisation reduce fidelity.
- Can a character speak?
- Yes. Generate speech with a voice and use the talking avatar or a native-audio model with the character attached.
- Do I have to pick an AI model?
- No. Choose a style preset such as Fast, Cinematic or Story and the router selects the best available model for that intent, aspect ratio, duration and the inputs you attached. If a model is degraded, the router falls back to a comparable one without charging you twice. Advanced users can still pin a specific model.
- How much does a generation cost?
- Every generation is quoted in credits before you confirm, based on the routed model, duration and resolution. Credits are reserved when you start and released automatically if the generation fails, so you only pay for what completes. Plans start at $4.99 a week and include a credit allowance; subscribers can top up with credit packs.
- Are my generations private?
- Yes by default. Everything you generate lands in your private library. You decide per creation whether to publish it to the feed, share it unlisted, restrict it to followers or keep it private, and whether others may remix it.
- Can I download the videos?
- Yes. Every completed generation can be downloaded in full resolution from your library. Files are stored permanently on our own media storage, not on the provider's temporary links.
